Staff Assistant Job Description


The Staff Assistant will report directly to the Director of Operations and/or the Volunteer Coordinator.


For Workshops Staff Assistants:


  • Set up Workshops
    • Collate and distribute workbook material
    • Display the Sign in binder and ensure that attendees sign in before entering a workshop
  • Greet attendees and direct them to their designated workshops.
  • Provides clerical assistance upon request
    • Photocopying

For Front desk/Reception area Staff Assistants:


  • Answer phones
    • take accurate messages
    • transfer calls to the appropriate staff member
  • Keep office area clean and tidy
  • Receive mail & deliveries
  • Receive paperwork from clients
    • Photocopy client’s documentations when needed
    • Place documentation into a designated folder
    • Place designated folder into staff member’s mailbox
